This semester is almost over. Each class of mine there are still a few lectures left. It seems like this semester goes by faster than I expected. However, it is winter time now since it has been feezing these days. Winter is okay for me..well I am not a big fan of winter though but falls which just ended. I prefer the red falling leaves rather than white plain ice on the ground actually....this year snow comes pretty late...even now, the end of November, still get no snow yet....just saying don't really expect it to come though.
Last week...went to visit some friends in Hamilton...got a chance to check out McMaster....the campus and the town are kind of small.....well....just drove around nothing much....after that went to Thai restaurant, the only one Thai restaurant in Hamilton. The food was good....really like the Pad Thai there :) then went to the friend's house....they are 3 brothers..actually they are Indian but none of then looks like Indian. It is kind of cool when you have 3 guys live together in the house...I wish I would have 3 sons too...hehe...they are so funny..such a funny family. They had a million stories to talk about...they never stopped talking..they just kept talking and joining each other conversation. I really like them all but the 2nd brother is my favourite even though it was the 1st time I met him coz I already met the oldest and youngest brothers :P I met the oldest brother in summer when he came back from Protugal since he was there for a month for Euro2004. It was hard for me to leave their house coz they kept talking....
Was talking to my Thai friend the other day and just realized that it was already Loi Krathong, one of the most famous Thai traditional festivals...the festival that you make banana leaf cups decorating with flowers, incenses and candle to float them on the river as the believe that it is intended to float away the ill fortune as well as to express the apologies to Khongkha ot Ganga, the River Goddess...it's very nice and fun plus it is performed on the full moon night of the 12th lunar month, which is very beautiful.....I have missed this festival for 3 yesrs since I left home :(
We had a B-day party for Jenny yesterday..went to Lee Garden....OMG...so many people waiting....but we made a reservation for 16 people so we didn't have to wait...kind of excited..however it wasn't that great as we expected....the food was just right....plus kind of expensive too....after that we went to Chestnut to cut the cake and play the Mafia game...I did a great job of being a mafia once too...I did kill all the people in the game with out getting caught.....so proud of myself...hehe...everyone seemed enjoy the party last night..we had so much fun....:)
This week is Thanksgiving in US. All the friends in US are having a week off...poor me...I had only a day off for Thanksgiving last month....there's no point to have that in Canada at all >; Forgot to call my host family and some other people...think of when I was in US for thanksgiving....was so much fun with some families there...lots of food...nothing else to do besides eating...
Gotta do some work then.....
